Any link between John proctor and Mcarthyism?

Yeah, I mean the whole play is about it so you can definitely say that there is a link. It just depends on how much you want to develop that link - no one can say you are wrong when developing such a statement so you definitely can say it. I am not sure if it is direct, but you could certainly argue it.
