Are there really ANY "role models" in coaching? Basketball, football, or otherwise?

How about Greg Popovich? He graduated from the Air Force Academy, served five years in the Air Force working for their intelligence gathering services. He's a successful NBA coach with four rings, has a Masters degree from the University of Denver... what's wrong with him?
