The confusing price of oil / gas?

I work in the oil and gas drilling industry in Canada, get this kids, only 90 drilling rigs out of 600 plus are drilling for the precious commodity right now. WTF is going on besides speculation and the Bush/Chaney gov. driving prices to a ridiculous high!
