What are some good books to read?

I like reading fiction and I tend to avoid horror books since those usually scare me more than the movies do. Books I've enjoyed have been Beloved and anything visually captivating. I really like sob stories for some terrible, morbid reason like My Sister's Keeper and Marley & Me. I can't deny that I like books that can be supernatural—the typical girl in high school with dumb drama books usually bore me to sleep. I don't mind reading dense, literary books but I feel like I get enough of those in school but I still appreciate them such as East of Eden and the Fountainhead. Toss me some suggestions!
