COE price increase only affect people driving car?

Many Singaporeans believe COE price increase will not affect them so long they don't buy a car. But don't they know higher COE meant higher transportation cost? Transportation is one of the main factor which will affect the price of most commodities, certainly this will result in higher inflation rate.
